A view on Parco Fiorito

A perfect place to holiday, situated on a hill at the Tuscan/Umbrian border.

June 16, 2004 -- Finanza Milano (May 8th 2004) by Leonardo Felician

From a beautiful 16th Century convent which has been carefully restored to showcase its magnificent exposed beam ceilings, terra cotta floors and original stone walls, Parco Fiorito was born. Proprietor, Fattore Roberto Russo with help from daughter Claudia and son Guiseppe, run the authentic Italian holiday farm with energy and passion.

Each evening, guests can indulge in a traditional four course Tuscan/Umbrian dinner created from ingredients grown at Parco Fiorito. Russos own extra virgin olive oil and San Giovese wine complement the fresh meats and just picked garden vegetables that make up every meal served in the stately decorated main salon. The communal glass dining room table plays host to guests from all corners of the world. This feature often sparks lasting international friendships. As a perfect host, Russo will create meals for those with specific dietary lifestyles.

The accommodations at Parco Fiorito are both charming and very comfortable. With six apartments and four suites, each room has a feeling of independence and silence. For those wanting to self cater, each room is outfitted with a gas stove and refer. Shopping is within 2 kilometers of Parco Fiorito.

For those who love to swim, Parco Fiorito features a large pool for adults and a smaller pool perfect for children. The open air gym surrounded by olive trees, gives fitness buffs a circuit of activities in an environment of serenity.

Parco Fiorito is located within one hour of Florence, Siena, Arrezo and Perugia. Until the end of a July, a major exhibition of the works of Perugino are being displayed throughout Umbria. This itinerary can easily be completed from Parco Fiorito. Several major food, wine and cultural festivals are accessible within an hour drive from Parco Fiorito as well.
